Inspiration

Our character and story is inspiration of the show "Hannibal". One of my group mates saw the show she told us that the character who played cannibal and the psychology was extremely intriguing. That's why all of us decided to make film opening on cannibalism.

Prodution house name and name card

In safe heaven(60 second film) we deiced to keep our production name COUCH POTATOES production but as it was an unprofessional name, we decided to change it to MONARCH PRODUCTION. Here is the card we would be using in our film opening and a person riding a horse will be shown through fleur.

Eidting after reshoot

We started to editing again after the reshoot and did our colour grading,transtion of sound etc.

Properties for our film opening

Properties of our film opening were missing girl sweater,her necklace and missing person poster. To show our character as cannibal we  made a finger to put it in the meat. The finger was made out of wax.

Making of fake finger

After the feedback from our audience we deceided to make a fake finger, to put it into the meat which Zahid is going to perpare. As we dont have much time to go to market and buy a fake finger , we decided to make it at home by using household iteams.
We melted a candle wax  and then Tooba dipped her finger in it to get our mold. Then we covered it in foundation, stuffed the inside with tissue and then painted the finger's nail and the visible part of the tissue with red nail polish to make it look as convincing as we could.

Reshoot

We decided to reshoot again few scenes of our film opening to make it look more disgustig and horror. We reshoot few scene of our actor fanical expression to give our audience a more clear picture, as we noted in feedback was that people weren't able to identify our gist being cannibalism, and a piece of advice we received was to put an organ in the meat or bring a fake finger in somehow. So, to make sure we wouldn't be missing on any possible thing  that would give our audience a more clear picture, we did both.

For the organ part, we brought in a goat's liver, seeing as beef is known to be very close to human meat and goat's liver is also close in size to a human's meat (according to our research) , we figured out that we could convince our audience with it.

We made a fake finger as well to put it on the meat, to make it look more realistic.

Rough cut feedback

Now that we have our rough cut of our film opening-Blood Thirst, we decided to show our film opening to our teachers, class mates, school fellows.
We got to know that they can't identify that our actor is an cannibal. So we decided to reshoot, we got to know that we should improve our mise-en-sćene to give our audience a clear view and that we should take more close up shots to show it more disgusting and horror.

Now we have finished shooting of our film opening so we are making a rough cut.Once we are done from this we will show it to our friends and family members for there feedback.

Credit Sequence

One of our group members used after effects to create the  film opening credits for blood thirst which is still in progress. She made the fake news template in Photoshop cc 2017 and give effects by using after effects. She used the newspaper images from google and heavily edited the newspaper , especially removing copyright content.

Research

Adobe Premier

In today's class we practice adobe premier to be better in editing and learn few tips about writing tittle and how to change font of the tittle etc.
